PSI Elects New Officers, Approves Bylaws Changes

The PSI Chapter elected new officers for the 2020–2022 term and approved changes to the PSI Bylaws at its winter meeting, held Feb. 20 in Nashville, Tenn.

The PSI members at the Nashville meeting unanimously elected the following officers (identified left to right in photo), who will begin their terms after the ISRI annual convention in late April:

President: Linda Leone, WestRock (Dunkirk, N.Y.)

Vice President: Shawn State, Pratt Recycling (Conyers, Ga.)

Secretary/Treasurer: Tamara Mayberry, Pioneer Industries International (Itasca, Ill.)

Leone immediately announced two directors-at-large to serve on the PSI Executive Committee—Kathy DeLano of Texas Recycling (Dallas) and Bob Cappadona of Casella Recycling (Charlestown, Mass.). The chapter’s current board of directors will add a third at-large member, and Leone will round out the new PSI board—which will take office in late April—by naming nine members to lead the chapter’s committees.

In addition to its elections, the PSI Chapter approved changes to two sections of the PSI Bylaws—Section 5.02 Executive Committee (allowing the PSI President to name two at-large members, rather than one, to the PSI Executive Committee) and Section 5.09 Committee Chairs (amending the nine PSI committees to include Communications, Events, Government Affairs, Membership, Safety, Export/Trade, Associate Member Affairs, Scholarship, and Specifications).
