Seeing through the fog of the COVID-19 paper recovery

Two senior principals from AFRY Management Consulting (Atlanta)—Jose Gonzalez and Sanna Sosa—will review how the pandemic has already affected the sectors noted above, discuss the short- and longer-term outlooks for those sectors, and consider what shifts in consumer habits could change our relationship with paper and packaging going forward. Joe Pickard, ISRI’s Chief Economist and Director of Commodities, will lead the discussion as moderator.

Gonzalez has over 20 years in the industry and has significant experience in business analysis and strategic direction for the forest industry, wood products, and pulp and paper companies. He has managed or worked on dozens of projects covering corporate strategy, due diligence, investment analysis, bioenergy, competitive assessment, and improvement engagements for mill operations. For AFRY, Gonzalez supervises strategic, market, and operational engagements in North America and Latin America and advises CEO and board-level executives.

For the past 12 years, Sosa has managed and contributed to well over 100 market strategy and business strategy projects for North American and international clients. Her work has focused on packaging product markets, hygiene product markets, and specialty products. She has a passion for identifying market trends and business growth opportunities and a track record of driving team collaboration to structure, analyze, and communicate solutions to complex business problems.
