International Roadcheck is the largest targeted enforcement program on commercial motor vehicles in the world. Nearly 15 trucks or buses inspected, on average, every minute across North America during a 72-hour period are inspected. CVSA-certified inspectors conduct compliance, enforcement and educational initiatives targeted at various elements of motor carrier, vehicle and driver safety.
The special area of focus for 2020 is on the driver requirements component of a roadside inspection. This means drivers need to be ready to hand over documents, show driver’s license and medical certificates, and be prepared for inspection of their record of duty status and hours of service.
As a member service, the PSI Chapter is sharing information on the inspection program from USI Insurance Services.
