PSI Meeting to Feature Speakers From Fastmarkets RISI, PSI Elections, and NASHVILLE PARTY

The PSI Chapter will meet in Nashville, Tenn., in February to elect new officers for the 2020–2022 term and hear two industry experts comment on current market trends.

PSI will hold its election meeting Feb. 20 at 3 p.m. in Room 206 of Music City Center (201 5th Ave. S.), site of ISRI’s winter board meetings. The chapter’s Board of Directors has approved the following slate of nominees:

The nomination process will remain open, with additional nominations from the floor allowed, until the election meeting.

Following the election, the PSI meeting will feature presentations by Hannah Zhao, senior economist, recovered paper for Fastmarkets RISI, and Greg Rudder, managing editor of Pulp & Paper Week at Fastmarkets RISI.

Zhao will offer an outlook on global recovered paper markets in 2020, with a focus on Asian market factors. Rudder will examine containerboard capacity in North America and trends in containerboard demand that could affect consumption of recovered paper.

PSI NASHVILLE PARTY

In the evening, the PSI Chapter will hold a dinner and party at B.B. King’s Blues Club (152 2nd Ave. N.). The event, which will include a buffet dinner and two drink tickets per attendee, will be held in the private Riverfront Room, with a view of the Cumberland River. The package cost for the PSI speaker presentations, dinner, and party is $100 for PSI members and $150 for nonmembers.

After the PSI event, ISRI’s Southeast Chapter invites PSI members to attend its complimentary dessert party, scheduled for 9 p.m. at Dream Nashville (210 4th Ave. N.).
