Myles Cohen Receives NJPRA Lifetime Award

The New Jersey Paper Recycling Association recognized Myles Cohen, Executive Vice President of Marketing for Pratt Industries and former President of Pratt Recycling, with its Lifetime Achievement Award at a Dec. 6 ceremony in Carlstadt, N.J. The NJPRA board of directors praised Cohen for his significant support, dedication, and passion for the recycling industry throughout his career.

During the award presentation, Bill Lehman of Waste Management reviewed Cohen’s long list of career contributions and accomplishments, especially noting his leadership as President of Pratt Recycling and his many volunteer leadership roles in the PSI Chapter and ISRI. Those roles have included vice president and president of the PSI Chapter, chair of ISRI’s Paper Division, co-chair of ISRI’s MRF Council, and member of ISRI’s Board of Directors and numerous committees, including its Executive Committee.

The award ceremony, held in conjunction with NJPRA’s annual holiday party, attracted about 60 attendees, including PSI Past President and founding NJPRA member George Chen of G&T Trading International Corp. and a group of Pratt colleagues, including Shawn State, President of Pratt Recycling, and Michael Altobelli, Northeast Vice President of Pratt Recycling.
