ISRI Webinar Explains Upcoming Congressional Fly-In
ISRI is offering a webinar for all members—including PSI Chapter members—who might like to participate in its upcoming Industry Advocates Program and Fly-In in Washington, D.C. The webinar—scheduled for Thursday, June 27, from 2 to 3 p.m. (EDT)—will feature comments from Billy Johnson, ISRI’s chief lobbyist; Holly Arthur, ISRI’s senior vice president; and Lincoln Clapper of Prime Advocacy, which is handling scheduling for the ISRI Fly-In.
PSI Chapter and other ISRI members can register for this free webinar here or by contacting Jonathan Levy, ISRI’s director of member services, at jlevy@isri.org or (202) 662-8530.
This year’s Industry Advocates Program and Fly-In—held in conjunction with ISRI’s summer strategy meeting in Washington—has a “Recycling Works” theme to counter the negative impressions of recycling following China’s dramatic changes in its buying habits in the global recycling market, ISRI’s Johnson notes.
The event begins with a Fly-In training session Tuesday, July 16, from 4 to 6 p.m. The Fly-In itself—in which ISRI members meet with their elected officials—follows on Wednesday, July 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Members who wish to sign up for the Fly-In now can do so here. “Several PSI Chapter members have already signed up to participate,” says PSI Chapter President Leonard Zeid of Midland Davis Corp. “I encourage all PSI members to join in this worthwhile grassroots lobbying effort.”
